We're for social causes

Uganda is one of the countries that has been infected and affected by HIV/AIDS and high levels of Poverty for over 20 years. As you might imagine, this has tremendously increased the number of orphans in our country. It is estimated that in Uganda there are over 5 million orphans due to HIV/AIDS. It is expected that over the next ten years, this number will double. Many orphans are children of primary school going age who have lost one or both of their parents to preventable diseases. The majority of families in Uganda house orphans due the current epidemic. Poverty has resulted to high crime rates.

Our Main cause

Giving a helping Hand for Children to access Primary Enducation

Currently, the government of Uganda has adopted a program called Universal Primary Education (UPE). UPE provides for 3 children per family to attend primary education, up to Primary Seven. The issue is that many families take in displaced children increasing the number of children in their home to seven or even more. This leaves many children without access to basic education.

HASUC supports primary education for children in Mukono, Jinja, Palisa, Kumi, Bukedea, Serere, Soroti, Katakwi, Amuria, Mbale, Kampala and Wakiso districts, who need financial help to attend school. This gave the reason for the Birth of Malachi Junior School

We know that it is hard to rely on help from Western Countries, but: One dollar a day can provide books, school supplies, uniforms, shoes, basic health care and one nutritious meal a day for a Ugandan child.

Visit our ‘Volunteering’ and ‘Immediate Needs’ pages, and then proceed to our ‘Make a Donation’ or ‘Sponsor A Child’ pages to start making a difference

Many children have been and continue to be traumatized by the loss of their parents and the poverty levels in their homes. In Uganda it’s the order of the day to find grandparents surrounded by a fleet of grandchildren, families headed by adolescents, dying adults being nursed by their children, and children scattered among relatives.

As a result, many people are living a life of Vulnerability, and most of these people are below the age of eighteen. Poverty has a direct effect on people’s lives, as poor people have little access to the necessities of life.

Meet our Excellent Team

We exist for non-profits, social enterprises, and community group activists.

CEO Message

Hands to Save Ugandan Children (HASUC) is a Non-Profit Organization (NGO) incorporated in 2014, under the Companies Act 2012, as a Child Focused Development Organization, license number 189869. HASUC exists to help change underlying factors that prevent children from fully experiencing their basic rights to education and medical care.

We work with families and communities in the local areas of Uganda to support children and their families at each stage of their development, promoting children's well-being and education, so that they may become participating members of society.

We are seeking support from volunteers, charity groups, churches, and anyone with a big heart, that loves children, and wants to make a big impact in the society or community. Please consider supporting Hands to Save Ugandan Children. These orphans were brought into this world with HIV/AIDS and weren’t given a choice where they were born, but can have a choice where they live someday, with the proper education and job skills training we provide. Uganda has been ravaged by war and disease, but this doesn’t have to define these children’s futures.

No member of our staff is paid and all of them are volunteers and a 100% of  donations goes toward supporting orphans and the vulnerable children . HASUC consists of six board members that voluntarily help with the general needs and logistics of the organization. We thank God for their wondrous contribution to the development of this organization. However we welcome any funding on our projects that can enable us pay all our staff.

Our main office is in Lwanyonyi Mukono.
